The TEC chiller has a built-in thermoelectric cooler (TEC), which is a semiconductor device consisting of a number of tiny effective heat pumps. By applying a low-voltage DC current, heat will be transferred from one side of the TEC to the other, resulting in the phenomenon of one side of the TEC becoming cooler and the other hotter. Using multiple pairs of semiconductor connected in series to form a chiller unit, realizing the phenomenon of the temperature decrease, and realizing high-precision temperature control with its fast response and conversion of the hot and cold sides.

The refrigeration system usually consists of a compressor, condenser, throttling element and evaporator. The compressor compresses the refrigerant gas and outputs high temperature and high pressure refrigerant, which is exothermic and liquefied into normal temperature and high pressure liquid through the condenser, and then enters into the throttling element to make the refrigerant's pressure and temperature drop at the same time. After being throttled refrigerant into the evaporator, to absorb the heat of the cooled object, and then the refrigerant is inhaled and compressed by the compressor and so on. The refrigerant is repeatedly compressed, condensed, expanded and evaporated in the refrigeration system, and continuously absorbs heat and vaporizes at the evaporator to cool down the temperature.
